Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings all and Happy Thanksgiving,

Looking back on 2009, it’s been quite a year. I am thankful to been able to perform at the Lincoln Memorial in our Nation’s Capital, appear in a music video with John Rich in Nashville, open up for the Black Eyed Peas in Hawaii, perform at many other cool spots and meet some really great folks along the way. I am looking forward to seeing what 2010 brings. None of this would be possible without your continued support.

Over the past year, I have received invites to play a bunch of new places and even a few overseas. Being stationed in Hawaii, it’s not always easy to take the show on the road. You know what they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Early next year, I’ll be starting the first of many streaming, live, interactive shows. More on that soon, can’t let the cat all the way out of the bag yet. Get your requests ready!

For anyone looking for stocking stuffers, from now through the end of 2009 all physical CDs and digital CDs available at CDBaby are only $5.99 or less. Just visit http://www.cdbaby.com/all/mcb

If you have not done so and want to keep up with me on the many social networking sites, please join me by following the links below.

Kate and I wish you and yours, a happy and healthy holiday season and to all our troops deployed around the world, thank you, be safe and come home soon.

Best wishes,

Mike

http://www.mikecorrado.com

http://www.facebook.com/mikecorradoband

http://www/twitter.com/mjcorrado

http://www.myspace.com/mikecorrado

http://www.youtube.com/mcbgrunt

Nashville and the 2009 CMA Music Fest

June 9-13 I had the most amazing visit to Nashville during the 2009 CMA Music Fest. This trip would not have been possible without the help and support of three of the most amazing organizations: Rolling Thunder, Warriors Legacy Fund and To The Fallen Records. For more on these organizations, please visit the links page at http://www.mikecorrado.com

The week started of by landing in Nashville (1st time ever) and linking up with Josh Burns who used to tour with me back in the day. Josh is an amazing guitar player and has been in the Nashville scene since 1997. Thanks Josh & Robin for letting me crash, the great meals, the late night song writing sessions and jams and mostly for being great friends.

On my second day in Nashville, I went to the CMT studios for to appear in the video taping for John Rich’s “The Good Lord and the Man” video. John wrote the song about his grandfather who was a world War II veteran and six-time Purple Heart recipient. The video was shot live and acoustic for CMT and Studio 330. In the video John was surrounded by myself, wounded warrior Lance Corporal Ryan Autery, USMC Retired, and 3 World War II Vets who just had the most amazing stories. The video is set to air on Tuesday, June 30 on CMT and all CMT websites. I’ll be the one in the dress blues, right behind John. The video special finished with a short interview from each of us. I got to hang out and share a few stories with John before he had to take off to another function. (John, thanks for the bottle of Crown Royal).

To read more about my Nashville trip read my latest blog on Mike's MySpace Page

Back to the Main Land

Aloha, Hope all has been well for everyone. I have been racking up frequent flyer miles at the rapid rate lately. I have been back and for to Virginia 8 times in the last six months. I will be headed back to the VA/Washington, DC area the week leading up to Memorial Day Weekend. What’s cool about this trip is the timing worked out to coincide with an acoustic show. The show will be for the Rolling Thunder Salute the Troops concert held on Saturday, 23 May from noon to 3pm at the Reflecting Pool at the base of the Lincoln Memorial. I will be performing along with other artists from To The Fallen Records. The following day will be the big Rolling Thunder ride. They anticipate 50,000 plus bikes to be there for the ride around DC. Hopefully we’ll get tons of folks out for the show as well. Other than that, I have been doing some shows around the island of Oahu and making new friends here. I also laid some vocal tracks for 3 songs which will be appearing on a new CBS TV show called Harper’s Island. Check your local listings for details on the show, then listen closely. I am in the process of changing a few things around on the site. I have also added some new songs to my MySpace account now that they have allowed artists to add 10 songs. I went back and added a few of my favs from older albums. Check back for new additions to the site. Thanks for all the support, Mike
